Mass-transfer Studies in a Rotating Packed Bed

The mass-transfer efficiency of a new vapor-liquid contactor-Rotating Packed Bed was studied. Distillation experiment was done with the ethanol-water system. The result showed that the mass transfer efficency of RPB increased correspond to the F and β in low rotating speed. Its HTU was (1.09～1.76) cm and its mass transfer modle was developed.
