Separation and determination of monosaccharides in polysaccharide by dual-wavelength thin-layer scanning technique

A dual-wavelength thin-layer scanning technique for determination of monosaccharide mixture was presented in this paper.The experiment shows:the linear relationship of arabinose,D-glucose,D-galactose, D-xylose were good within range of 1.200-7.200μg.The recovery rates of the four monosaccharides were 97.6%,98.5%,98.1%,95.9% respectively.Monosacchride composition of the polysaccharide was arabinose ∶D-glucose ∶D-galactose ∶D-xylose=10.3 ∶(11.4 ∶8.4 ∶1.3.)The method is simple,quick,accurate and low-cost.
