Objective:The aim of this study were to evaluate the rate of bone formation and osseointegration with a collagen sponger carrying BMP-2/7 heterodimers.Methods:10 minipig received seven defect each(0.84mm).A dental implant was inserted into the center of the defect.Than the defect were fill with BMP2/7 /collagen,BMP2/collagen and collagen sponger randomly.Each of five animals were euthanized after 14-or 21-days.The specimen was scan by micro-ct and hard tissue slice.Results:There was a significant difference in BV(Bone Volume)and BV/TV in the BMP2/7 group,BMP2 group and collagen sponger after 14-days and 28-days.Conclusions:The result of this study show BMP-2/7 heterodimers have more effective than BMP-2 on bone induction and implant osseointegration.
