Effects of several elements on urease activity in Liaodong bay wetland

Urease in wetland was inhibited by the metal Cd,Cr,Pb and As.Both individual metal and combined metals inhibited urease and postponed the time of maximum urease activity.The order of urease inhibition was showed as CrAsCdPb.It was presumed that the inhibition was due to the inhibition of urease activity or urease production.The presence of metals is correlated with urease activity.
