Development Trends of Polyurethane Adhesives for Wood

The consumption of polyurethane adhesives in wood industry is increasing gradually for its advantages,such as formaldehyde free,less adhesive spread,high bonding strength and etc.But due to the price of polyurethane adhesives,its percentage of wood adhesives is still small.Study on bonding mechanism of polyurethane adhesive and wood is a way to understand the bonding characteristic of polyurethane adhesive and to make the optimal bonding strength with least consumption of raw material,further more,to decrease the cost and to extend the application.The advantages,development and modification of polyurethane are introduced.The progress in study on bonding mechanism of polyurethane and wood in and abroad is detailed.
