Clinical radial extracorporeal shock wave therapy on chronic wound healing.

OBJECTIVE To observe the treatment effect of radial extracorporeal shock wave therapy(rESWT) on the chronic wound healing,to find new treatment methods which can promote the rapid healing of chronic wound.METHODS Three patients with four chronic wounds were selected to perform the wound assessment,debriding the necrotic tissue and the anti-inflammatory dressing for the wound,at the same time,rESWT was applied to the wound.The wound healing time was observed.RESULTS After the treatment with rESWT for 1-3 times,the wounds were completely healed within seven to forty days.CONCLUSION rESWT can promote the healing of chronic wound.
