Research Progress on Application of Humic Acid Substances in Animal Production

Humic acids(HA),a class of compounds resulting from decomposition of organic matter are natural constituents of soil,lignite,drinking water and plants,etc.There is no doubt that HAs have many beneficial effect like antibacterial,antiviral and anti-inflammatory in animals,can improve immune system,promote growth,increase feed conversions and reduce loss of nitrogen.This paper summarized recent advances about the health value of animal and application in animal production from the aspects of an alternative to antibiotics.
