BAUSCHINGER EFFECT OF STEEL PLATE AND TUBE ON YIELD STRENGTH AND YIELD RATIO

It is presented that the Bauschinger effect(BE) of high strength micro-alloying steel plate experienced by plastic bending deformation as well as its influence on yield strength,strain hardening exponent and yield ratio.It is found that BE causes yield strength to be decreased,strain hardening exponent to be divided into two segments,the yield ratio nearly keeps unchanged in plate in comparison with that in tube.The data may be useful to both the pipeline constructors and steel makers.
