Conservation of Degraded Grassland Pasture: A Literature Review

The root cause from soil damage is erosion, that is loss or erosion of soil or parts of soil of a place transported by water to other place. Erosion can reduce structure strength and soil organic matter rate causing change of soil characters, like lowering of soil porosity, permeability and biology. This change is problem which caused by change of arranges usage land and if it is let able to cause degradation of farm. To improve function of damage land can be gone through conservation effort. Soil conservation relates to all lands. The managed soil without supported with action of conservation to cause lowering of soil productivity quickly. This article aim to evaluate form of degradations and conservation effort which can be laboured at grassland area (JIIPB 2009 Vol 19 No 2: 80-91). Keywords: grassland, degradation, conservation effort
