摘要
Ce3+ activated high-density lanthanum lutetium germanate glass was fabricated by melt quenching method. Their densities, fluorescence decay curves, transmittance spectra, and luminescence excited by UV light and X-ray were measured and investigated. The densities of the glasses are between 5.90 g/cm3 and 5.97 g/cm3. The glasses present blue emission upon 379 nm light and X-ray. The blue emission lifetimes of the glasses are between 11.26 ns and 18.83 ns. The results shows that Ce3+ activated high-density lanthanum lutetium germanate glass would be a potential fast-event X-ray detection scintillating material.
