On-line Monitoring Method for Burial Depth of Submarine Cable Based on Distributed Optical Fiber Acoustic Sensing

By analyzing the external marine ambient noise field captured by the existed dark fiber inside the submarine cable, a new buried depth monitoring method of submarine cable based on distributed acoustic sensing (DAS) is proposed.
