摘要
The utilization of silicon-based minerals in advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) offers unique advantages for environmental remediation, including stable structures under strong oxidation conditions, cost-effectiveness, abundant resources, and environmental friendliness. In this review, the fabrication strategies (i.e., silicon-based minerals as carriers, template utilization and doping strategy) and application progresses of silicon-based minerals in AOPs are systematically explored, with emphasis on their principles and mechanisms of AOPs applications for water decontamination. Through an in-depth analysis of fabrication strategies and AOPs applications, this review not only clarifies the important role of silicon-based minerals in promoting the promising applications in AOPs, but also provides the versatile perspectives on the associated oxidation activities and pathways towards different pollutants in water. In addition, the review fills in gaps in previous studies, such as summarizing previously less explored templates and doping strategies for environmental remediation, and offers prospects for future development of silicon-based minerals in AOPs applications.
