Role of Sentinel Surveillance of Candidemia: Trends in Species Distribution and Antifungal Susceptibility

The threat posed by antimicrobial resistance was clearly outlined in the 1995 report of the American Society for Microbiology (ASM) Antimicrobial Resistance Task Force ([2][1]). That report strongly recommended increased research on antimicrobial resistance, including the establishment of
