Objective To evaluate the imaging findings of patients with diplopia so as to provide evidences for diagnosis and treatment of patients with diplopia.Methods One hundred and fifty-three patients with diplopia were retrospectively analysed.Results ① There were 37 cases (24.2%) with normal imaging findings,116 with abnormalities (75.8%). ② In 37 without abnormality,19 (51.4%) had a history of trauma,8 (21.6%) had ophthalmoplegia,2 (5.4%) had cerebral infarction,and 8 (21.6%)had uncertain clinical diagnosis.③ In 116 with abnormalities,orbital diseases were found in 90 (77.6%),including fracture in 66 orbital walls (71.8%),intracranial diseases in 20 (17.2%),both orbital and intracranial diseases in 3 (2.6%) and other diseases in 3 (2.6%).Conclusion The disease which can cause diplopia may show various imaging findings. It is important to evaluate these changes and to find the causes of diplopia.
