Clinical Analysis on 2 008 Cases of Vitiligo

Objective To evaluate various clinical characteristics of vitiligo and probe into the pathogenesis of vitiligo. Methods Questionnaires and statistical analysis were completed, which included all related factors.Results The results showed that most cases betide in youngsters. The peak of onset was 5 to 10 years old, which occupied almost 18.4%. Generalized vitiligo was in 623 (34.4%) patients and segmental vitiligo was in 134(7.0%) patients.Family history of vitiligo was present in 137 (7.4%) patients.Autoimmune disease was showed in 11.2% vitiligo patients and halo nevus was showed in 110 (6.3%) patients.Conclusion ① No significant factor can be highlighted by now.②It is accorded with polygene heredity rule in family vitiligo.③A few vitiligo cases onset while born, not all acquired.
