For the phenomenon of easy slipping of the steel in cold rolling,the physical process of this slipping was analyzed and the model of the factor of slipping was built which was used to represent the probability of this slipping.After that,the model was used to build the optimizing algorithm of the tension computing between the rollers based on particle swarm optimization.With the real data collected from some cold rolling processes,the optimization simulation experiment was carried out.The simulation results show that the factor of slipping decreases to zero apparently after optimizing.The probability of the slipping just also decreases after the optimization for slipping factor.It shows that the steel slipping problem can be controlled through tension optimization.
