Identification of tobacco material based on electronic nose analysis

Sensory evaluation and Electronic nose analysis were conducted to investigate the quality of Hunan tobacco from different counties and different stalk positions.And the relationship between the sensory evaluation and electronic nose was elucidated through Partial least squares regression(PLSR).The results showed that the classification of unblended cigarette by geographic differences based on principal component analysis(PCA) of tobacco electronic nose;while the classification of unblended cigarette by geographic and stalk positions differences based on principal component analysis(PCA) of tobacco smoke electronic nose,and the result was consistent with sensory evaluation results.Thus,the electronic nose analyses of tobacco smoke to be a relevant device for identification of tobacco material.
