Performance comparisons between VIVID-500 polycarboxylate superplasticizer and naphthalene water reducer used in major construction project

Polycarboxylate superplasticizer was considered as the third generation concrete water reducing agent,with great performance in water reducing agent,workability,slump retention and durability etc.Used in hydraulic concrete,airport pavement concrete,subway tunnel concrete,steel tube confined concrete,and compared with naphthalene water reducer,polycarboxylate superplasticizer presented great price-performance advantage,to get the same water reduction,the dosage of polycarboxylate superplasticizer was lower,and concrete with polycarboxylate superplasticizer showed much better slump retention performance,workability,and durability.
