摘要
A circularly polarized square microstrip patch antenna using Wilkinson power divider (WPD) is proposed in this paper. Dual orthogonal feeds are considered in edge of square patch. As a result, a circular polarized radiation is achieved. To excite dual orthogonal mode using Wilkinson power divider. The feed at one edge excites TM10 mode and other one at TM01. The phase variation of field at both the edge is 90°. To match the modified current distributions of the two operating modes, a pair of dual feed is suggested and then loaded on the square patch, resulting in a 90-degree phase difference. A power divider is offered as a means of stimulating these ports. A quarter wavelength transformer (QWT) is utilized to ensure impedance matching between the square patch and the power divider. Several benefits may be gained by utilizing this design, including excellent isolation and low cross polarization. The initial analysis was implemented theoretically, then simulated using the HFSS software and an antenna prototype centered at around 2.45GHz is implemented and measured as a demonstration.
