PENGARUH VAKSINASI OUTER MEMBRAN PROTEIN 52 kDa Aeromonas hydrophila TERHADAP PENINGKATAN JUMLAH DAN HITUNG JENIS LEKOSIT IKAN NILA (Oreochromis niloticus) YANG DIINFEKSIAeromonas hydrophila
Nile Tilapia Fish (Oreochromis niloticus) is a freshwater fish that grows fast and
easy to be cultured. One of the difficulties in culturing nile tilapia fish is the
infection of Aeromonas hydrophila that causing Motil Aeromonas Septicemia
(MAS) disease. This study aimed to know the increasing of the total and
differential counting of nile tilapia fish leukocytes after being vaccinated by outer
membrane protein 52 kDa Aeromonas hydrophila for 1 week and infected with
Aeromonas hydrophila CFU/ml for 4 days. This study used 20 Nile Tilapia
fish with 10-12 cm in length and divided into 4 treatments and 5 repetitions which
are P0(-) (not vaccinated and not infected), P0(+) (not vaccinated and infected),
P1 (vaccinated with whole cell protein HydroVac® and infected), P2
(vaccinated with outer membrane protein 52 kDa and infected) by intramuscular
injection. The data analysis of this research used Analysis of Variants (ANOVA).
If there is a difference among treatments it will be continued to Duncan's Range
Multiple Test with a significance level of 5%. The post-infection observation
results in P2 showed there was significant increase of the total of leukocytes and
lymphocytes.
