Refrigerant mixture of flammable(R-32) and nonflammable(R-134a) hydrofluorocarbons(HFCs) is considered as an alternative to R-22 for use in air-conditioners and heat pumps. The flammability limits are very important in safety viewpoint within which the flame will propagate when the refrigerant mixture is ignited. The flammability limits of this refrigerant mixture were found experimentally at several compositions. These flammability limits are often considered when the fractionation of refrigerant mixtures are dealt with. The critical flammability limit is also found in this study above which any mixture with air is not flammable. This paper presents several pictures of flammability test result and the diagram of the flammable domain of R-32/134a mixture.
