Analysis of nursing terminology standardization and its developing strategies in China

By reviewing the development of nursing terminology standardization in abroad and China, we analyzed the developing limitations of nursing terminology standardization in China and proposed the related promoting strategies. At present, we should set up research organizations of nursing terminology standardization in national nursing research institutions. Furthermore, the special funds should be allocated to support the development of nursing terminology standardization. The interdisciplinary collaboration should be enhanced so as to attract more talents and a uniform coordinating mechanism should be established in addition. The standardized nursing terminology should be designed according to national conditions in China and be popularized widely.
