Surgical Treatment of 38 Cases of Obstructive Sleep Apnea-hypopnea Syndrome

Objective To investigate the clinical effect of surgical treatment for obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome(OSAHS).Methods Clinical data of 38 OSAHS patients receiving surgical treatment were analyzed retrospectively.ALL the patients were followed-up and their therapeutic effects were observed.Results ALL 38 cases were followed up for at least 6 months and Pre-and post-UPPP polysomnograms were obtained from patients,in which,32 cases were effective.Twenty of 28 cases were effective at the time-point of 12 months.No severe complications occurred in all 38 cases.Conclusion Reasonable selection of patients and proper choice of surgical procedures according to the obstructive site in the upper airway for the OSAHS could improve the therapeutic efficacy.
