THE USES OF SODIUN SULFIDE IN METALLURGY AND ORE DRESSING

In this article,depending on the special characters of HS - and S 2- which produced by the hydrolysis of Sodium Sulfide,the uses of Sodium sulfide in metallurgy and ore dressing are described.In metallurgy,Sodium Sulfide can be used to remove Cu 2+ ?Pb 2+ ?Zn 2+ ?Hg 2+ ?As 3+ etc.from solution.In ore dressing,Sodium Sulfide can be used as the depressor in the flotation of some sulfide ore and as the activator in the flotation of some oxide ore and as the inductor in the flotation of the goldbearing sulfide ore.
