摘要
Poly (methyl methacrylate) nano-particles (nano-PMMAs) were prepared by means of minisuspension polymerization in the present work. The influences of the amounts of monomer and initiator,the emulsifying dispersion rates on the kinetics,and the dependences of polymerization factors on mean particle size,molecular weight,and viscosity were investigated. The results show that,by this polymerization method,the nano-PMMAs with narrow particle size distribution can be obtained,the viscosity of all the emulsions is lower than 5 mPa·s,the viscosity-average molecular weight of PMMA is relatively high,the effects of monomer and initiator on kinetics coincide with the law of radical polymerization,and the increase in shearing rate during dispersion promotes conversion of monomer and decreases the particle size.
