摘要
The development of an efficient and stable hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) electrocatalyst is essential for industrial water splitting. Here, we used waste durian shells, cheap urea and palladium acetate to synthesize PdO supported nitrogen-doped biomass based carbon nanomaterials. The prepared Pd-N-CDS electrocatalyzed the hydrogen evolution reaction in 0.5 M H2SO4, and the overpotential recorded was 143 mV at 10 mA cm−2. In particular, the potential applied at a current density of 10 mA cm−2 obtained excellent stability using the chronoamperometry. In addition, the Pd oxide nanoparticles covered by the thin carbon layer cooperate to catalyze HER through the radiated electronic effect.
