The promoting effect of Nb on Ni/SiO2 in the hydrodeoxygenation of lignin derivatives to cycloalkanes

The doping of niobium and the synergistic effect of Ni and acid sites promote the HDO of guaiacol. Ni 0 –NiNbO x /SiO 2 is a potential catalyst for producing cycloalkanes from lignin-derived phenolic compounds.
