Photoswitchable Imines Drive Dynamic Covalent Systems to Nonequilibrium Steady States

Coupling a photochemical reaction to a thermal exchange process can drive the latter to a nonequilibrium steady state (NESS) under photoirradiation. Typically, systems use separate motifs for photoresponse and equilibrium-related processes.
