UP-01.201 Impact of the Primary Tumor in situ on the Response of Metastatic Lesions to Targeted Therapy in Patients with Metastatic Renal Cell Carcinoma

The efficacy of targeted therapy in metastatic renal cell carcinoma (mRCC) has been established. Majority of patients with mRCC in clinical trials with targeted therapy, however, had upfront nephrectomy. There have been few reports to compare the response of metastatic lesions to targeted therapy between in patients with the primary kidney tumor in situ and in those who underwent upfront nephrectomy. Our objective was to evaluate the impact that a primary tumor in situ has on the response of metastatic lesions to targeted therapy in patients with mRCC by comparing with those who underwent upfront nephrectomy.
