Loss of an Exosome Complex Component Potentiates R Gene–Independent Cell Death in Barley

Cell death is a key component of plant development and disease resistance. One of the best-studied types of plant cell death is the hypersensitive response (HR) induced by the avirulence–resistance (AVR-R) protein interaction (reviewed in [Jones and Dangl, 2006][1]). However, examination of
