Analysis of Spasmolytic Compositions in Huoxiang Zhengqi Liquid

Objective To study the effects of liquiritin,liquiritigenin,isoliquiritigenin,honokiol,magnolol and hesperidin in Huoxiang Zhengqi Liquid on spasmolysis.Methods The samples of isolated rabbit ileum segment were prepared.The effects of hesperidin,liquiritin,liquiritigenin,isoliquiritigenin,honokiol and magnolol at various concentrations on the spontaneous contraction of isolated rabbit intestine induced by acetylcholine or histamine phosphate were studied.Results Honokiol,magnolol,isoliquiritigenin,and liquiritigenin had inhibitory effect on intestinal contraction induced by acetylcholine and histamine phosphate,and liquiritin only had inhibitory effect on intestinal contraction induced by histamine phosphate,the effect being dose-dependent.Conclusion The inhibitive mechanism of honokiol,magnolol,isoliquiritigenin,and liquiritigenin liquiritin may be associated with the blockage of M cholinoceptor and H1 receptor,while the mechanism of liquiritin is probably related with the blockage of H1 receptor.
