Objective To observe the matrix sponge constructed with collagen protein on the diameter of micropores and rate of hollow fiber on proliferation of fibroblast. Methods Matrix sponge was constructed with collagen protein. Structure of matrix sponge and diameter of micropo-res were observed by using scanning electronic microscope(SEM). The cultured fibroblasts through passage were planted in matrix sponge for continuous observation on the dynamic change of fibroblast and matrix sponge. Results The collagen protein showed fiberous and connected each other to form net work pores with diameters of between 180-260m. The fibroblast could pass through the network pores freely, to provide growth space and attaching point for fibroblast. Conclusion The matrix sponge possesses significant effect of regulating the propagation and metabolism of fibroblast.
