Selection and Determination of Phenotypic Traits of Eggplant Germplasm Resource

Ten eggplants germplasm resource were used for experiment materials,17 phenotypic traits of eggplant were analyzed and selected by anova analysis and factor analysis.It was found that there were 16 distinct differences on plantshape,main caulis color,leaf shape,fruit color,fruit shape,single fruit weight,and so on.With factor analysis,16 phenotypic traits of the eggplant were concentrated on 4 main factors,the first factor was to control fruit weight,the second was to control plant type,the third was to control fruit shape,the fourth was to control fruit seed.The accumulative contribution rate of the 4 major factors to total variation accounted for over 93.727%,maintaining most of information of 16 characters.These researches were important to the simplification of evaluation on germplasm resource and the selective efficiency on breeding.
