NEW AND NOTEWORTHY SPECIES OF HYMENOCHAETACEAE FROM CHINA

A new polypore species of Fomitiporia Murrill collected from tropical forest of Yunnan, Southwest China, is described as F. bannaensis Y.C. Dai. It is easily distinguished from other species of the genus by its resupinate basidiocarp, small spores and abundant hymenial setae. The differences and similarities between it and related species are discussed. Another two species of the Hymenochaetaceae, Coltriciella oblectabilis (Lloyd) Kotl., Pouzar Ryvarden and Hydnochaete duportii Pat., are reported. Both are newly recorded from China, and their detailed description is provided. Three new combinations, Fomitiporia sonora (Glib.) Y.C. Dai, Fomitiporia sublaevigata (Cleland Rodway) Y.C. Dai, and Onnia flavida (Berk.) Y.C. Dai, are proposed.
