Single electron transfer/hydrogen atom transfer synergistic catalysis for green synthesis of benzyl thioesters

This study presents a novel synergistic photocatalytic strategy that integrates single electron transfer and hydrogen atom transfer, enabling efficient and green synthesis of benzyl thioesters from elemental sulfur, benzyl chlorides, and aldehydes.
