122 Objectives We hypothesized that 68Ga-DOTATATE uptake in patients with neuroendocrine tumors (NET) should be sensitive to therapy with a non-radioactive somatostatin analogue. Methods 105 patients were examined with 68Ga-DOTATATE PET/CT. 35/105 patients were pretreated with (long acting) octreotide. SUVmax and SUVmean of target tissues, as well as metastases were compared between the groups of patients with (group 1) and without (group 2) octreotide treatment. Results The SUVmax of the spleen and the liver were significantly lower in group 1 compared with group 2 (both P Conclusions Treatment with a long-acting somatostatin analogue did not significantly reduce 68Ga-DOTATATE binding in NET lesion. These findings support the approach of continuing with cold octreotide medication during the PET/CT scan
