The recorded impact load history was used to drive a dynamic finite element code in its propagation mode with assumed FPZ and dynamic elastic properties until a match was obtained between the computed and measured strains. In addition, the computed crack opening displacements (COD) matched with those obtained by moire interferometry, thus validating the in verse analysis for determining the FPZ and dynamic elastic properties of a fracturing concrete specimen. |
