A Study on Participants" Awareness of Cultural Heritage Conservation through Cultural Heritage Utilization Projects: Focused on the Utilization Project of Kim Myeong-gwan’s Historic House, Jeongeup-city

The cultural heritage utilization has been carried out with a focus only on utilization, making it difficult to instill an understanding of cultural heritage preservation in participants. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research on the correlation between cultural heritage utilization business and preservation and utilization. This study aims to derive the possibility of cultural heritage preservation due to changes in participant perception according to changes in cultural heritage utilization program. The study target is the Jungup Kim Myung-kwan Historic House Utilization Business, which was selected as an excellent business twice due to program changes. The research method collected 738 photos taken by participants themselves in three years (2016, 2020, and 2022) when there were changes in the utilization program, and analyzed the correlation between changes in program content and changes in photos (perception of cultural heritage preservation). As a result, it was confirmed that the direction in which participants perceive cultural heritage changes depending on the content of the experience through the photos taken, and it was found that this can affect the preservation of cultural heritage depending on the direction of the cultural heritage utilization program.
