The distribution of alkaline phosphatase in the cells of the small and the large intestine of the rabbit.

The distribution of alkaline phosphatase in normal duodenal, jejunal, ileal and large intestinal mucosa of the rabbit has been studied by histochemical method. New Zealand White rabbits were used ranging from 26-day-old foetuses to 43-day-old young and the findings of ALP-ase reaction are discussed and correlated in connection to age and change of nutrition.
