The interaction of the fluorescent carbon nanoparticles with paper-based materials was investigated by the fluorescent microscopy,and the removing of carbon nanoparticles from paper surface,the effect of retained carbon nanoparticles on the aging resistance as well as mechanical strength of paper material were studied.Our results showed that the synthesized fluorescent carbon nanoparticles could in-situ,nondestructively sense the surface acidity of paper-based materials.This new finding may open a new way for analytical application of the fluorescent carbon nanoparticles.
