An anti-ultraviolet radiation epoxy resin is prepared from hydrogenated bisphenol-A and epichlorohydrin under the effect of catalyst.Its elementary mechanism and synthetic route are explained.The structure and component of the epoxy resin are analyzed and characterized in detail by FTIR and 1H-NMR spectra.It is shown that the structure of the epoxy resin is proper and trusty.The ultraviolet shielding ability of the product is tested through UV spectrophotometer,and the result shows that compared with bisphenol-A epoxy resin,the hydrogenated bisphenol-A epoxy resin has very little absorption of ultraviolet,so it is a excellent anti-Ultraviolet epoxy resin.The performance of the hydrogenated bisphenol-A epoxy resin is close to that of the product of BASF Co.Ltd of Germany.
