Liposoluble Friedelane Triterpenes from the Leaves of Paranephelium hainanensis

Objective To research the friedelane triterpenes from the petroleum ether extract of the leaves of Paranephelium hainanensis.Methods Four triterpenes were obtained by silica chromatography and recrystallization from the petroleum ether extract of the leaves of Paranephelium hainanensis,and the chemical structures of these triterpenes were identified by modern spectroscope as well as physico-chemical analysis.Results These compounds were identified to be pachysonol(1),canophyllol(2),canophyllal(3)and 3β-friedelinol(4),respectively.Conclusion The chemical constituents of the petroleum ether extract are friedelane associated triterpenes.
