Research on Multithreshold Image Segmentation Based on Particle Swarm Optimization

A particle swarm optimization (PSO) based image segmentation method has been proposed. Selecting the fuzzy entropy of the image as the fitness function and applying the particle swarm optimization algorithm to multi threshold image segmentation effectively overcomes the disadvantage of large computational complexity in conventional multi threshold segmentation. The algorithm has been proven to have good performance through experiments.
