Manipulation of Cell Mechanobiology by Designing Soft Mechanics of Cell Adhesion Interfaces

Recently, the research field of cell mechanobiology has become closely related with the biomaterials and biomedical researches. The regulation of cell mechanobiology has a strong potential for materials–based cell manipulation. How is the cell mechanobiology affected by extracellular milieu? What kind of parameters of materials regulates the mechanobiology–based cell functions? In this mini–review, I discuss the parameters designing soft mechanics of cell adhesion interfaces with extracellular matrix/substrate surface.
