Топос Кави в творчестве Б. Зайцева

The tasks of the article are to study Kavi’s topos in B. Zaytsev’s works of various genres, to determine the place of Kavi’s topos in the subject of relations between Italy and Russia, to identify the motives, themes, images that are a part of Kavi’s interpretive code. It is the interpretative code that helps to identify this topos under different names (Bardi, Barasso) or in the untitled “village at Sestri Levante” in the novel Far Land. For the first time in literary criticism Kavi’s topos is considered as a complex of several moments such as its role in relations between Italy and Russia and in art structure of B. Zaytsev’s works, the system of motives, which are associated with this topos, and some tools of imagery. As a result the article educes the role of Kavi’s topos in B. Zaytsev’s works.
