摘要
Synergistic interaction between polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and cellulose-based material has emerged as a new opportunity to fabricate high-performance bio-composites and bio-nanocomposite material for various potential applications. These polyvinyl alcohol and cellulose-based materials have unique chemical and physical properties,as well as facile preparation of its bio-composites and bio-nanocomposite material that received huge attention among scientists around the globe. Thus, this chapter mainly recapitulated and reviewed various kinds of PVA/cellulose-based bio-composites and bio-nanocomposites and their promising preparation techniques. On top of that, the critical physicochemical properties of the selected materials have been deliberated via various characterization techniques. Finally, the usage of PVA/cellulose-based bio-composites and bio-nanocomposites in the promising application and its performances are highlighted and discussed.
