The DECT and CT2/CAI European standards

There are two open European standards for digital cordless telecommunications, the CT2 Common Air Interface (CT2/CAI) and Digital European Cordless Telecommunications (DECT). Both support data applications, although DECT has from its inception specifically addressed how best these may be handled. The author concentrates on the DECT standard, with particular reference to the data capabilities of DECT.
