Objective
To investigate the correlation of interleukin-17A (Il-17A) and CD19+ CD5+ B cells with the primary IgA nephropathy.
Methods
30 cases of primary IgA nephropathy (IgAN) and 20 cases of non-IgA nephropathy (non-IgAN) patients were studied, and 20 cases of healthy volunteers were selected as controls. The levels of IL-17A and CD19+ CD5+ B cells in blood of primary IgAN and non-IgAN patients were detected and analyzed, and then the correlation of levels of IL-17A and CD19+ CD5+ B cells with different pathological grades and CKD stages in primary IgA nephropathy patients were further evaluated.
Results
Compared with non-IgAN group and healthy volunteers, the levels of Il-17A and CD19+ CD5+ B cells in blood of IgAN patients were significantly higher (P<0.01). The levels of IL-17A and CD19+ CD5+ B cells in blood of primary IgAN patients were significantly increased with the aggravation of pathological grades and CKD stages (P<0.05).
Conclusions
The serum levels of IL-17A and CD19+ CD5+ B cells in patients with IgA nephropathy were significantly increased. The expression of serum IL-17A and CD19+ CD5+ B cells in IgA nephropathy patients was increased with the aggravation of pathological grade and CKD stage.
