Spermatogenesis of mammals is a process which is precisely regulated by many factors including hormones, paracrine signals and other factors.During the process of spermatogenesis,testis-specific genes play crucial roles in regulation of it.Functional studies of these genes will not only help us to discover the mechanism of spermatogenesis, but also may provide potential targets for new generation male contraceptive drugs that should be effective, specific, and reversible.
