Bonding Property of Reconstituted Plywood Made from High Moisture Content Veneer

The bonding property of high moisture content dyed veneer and color fastening treated dyed veneer is one of the key parameters for reconstituted plywood manufacturing.The presented work compared and analyzed the bonding strength of the original veneer,dyeing veneer and color fastening treated veneer under different moisture content conditions.The result showed that as the moisture content increasing the bonding strength for all the veneers were decreased.Wet strength of these three kinds of veneers was lower than those of dry strength significantly.Dry strength and wet strength of original veneer were all higher than dyeing veneer and color fastening treated veneer.
